GPS robot promises to get to know you

MIT and Volkswagen are developing a robot that sort of crosses your car’s GPS system with your mother, giving directions but also sensing your mood and reminding you to get gas.

“The idea is to have a robot that recognizes your emotions from your facial expressions - like a friend,” said Guisy Di Lorenzo, part of the research team developing an Affective Intelligent Driving Agent, or “Aida” for short.
