NEW ENERGY FOR URBAN SECURITY

New ideas for improving urban security and sustainability through green urban planning.

Our cities are having a hard time keeping up with explosive urban growth through traditional approaches such as expanding or augmenting physical infrastructures. Implicit in our vision is a proposal for limiting the physical growth of the city, sticking to the limits of what we have and making it more efficient by integrating or adding a digital layer that increase the depth of how the city is explored, used, and experienced by its citizens.

At the same time, parts of the cities’ physical layer need to be redesigned and integrating with the visions offered by green, sustainable urban design. Both redesigning the physical layer and augmenting it with a cybernetic layer will help people feel safer and more integrated into the social environment.
